Start with where the light will work
Portable solar flood lights cover three broad uses: outdoor recreation such as camping and fishing, work lighting for sites and yards, and emergency lighting during outages. The right model depends mainly on the area you need to light and how long each session lasts.
Power rating and LED count
Dengke's STS-Series spans 50W to 400W. Smaller models such as the DK-STS-MINI (50W, 140 LEDs) suit tents and tables, mid-size models such as the DK-STS88 (200W, 288 LEDs) cover gardens and small worksites, and the DK-STS-400 (400W, 288 LEDs) lights larger yards and construction areas.
Battery capacity and runtime
Battery capacity sets how long the light runs: STS models carry 3.7V batteries from 2.4Ah to 8Ah, rated for roughly 4 to 6 hours of continuous lighting per charge. If you need overnight lighting, prioritise the 6-8Ah models such as the DK-STS89 or DK-STS88.
Solar panel and charging paths
Every model charges by solar and by USB. Panel sizes range from 1W to 10W across the family, and dual-panel models such as the DK-STS-DUB harvest with two 2.5W panels. A larger panel simply refills the battery faster between uses.
Build quality details worth checking
Look for explosion-proof tempered glass over the LEDs, a bracket-and-hook mount so the light can stand or hang, multi-level dimming, red and blue flash modes for emergencies, and a USB output that lets the battery double as a phone power bank.
